i don't read much from modern authors. in fact most books i read are from medieval times, the saints and such. i just have such distaste for writers, especially spiritual ones, who have lots of self promotion in modern day. whereas spiritual truths back in day were just a monk or nun, who loves God, sits in a cave to fast and pray for a few years, seems much more reliable source of spiritual truths..
