speaking at the wedding of my old church's youth group's resident atheist. we became friends when he was in highschool and he introduced me to Camus and a bunch of depressing existentialist stuff and i thought to myself... wow why would anyone choose to live w such meaningless outlook and got into long debates. fast forward a decade or two i randomly recalled him (and forgot his actual name) while reading Seven Storey Mountain by Thomas Merton (which later find out is Christian existentialist) and just felt God say hey get that kid to read the book. So dug him up on FB, dropped single line "read this", he read and went from atheist to believing God. God works in strange ways! After a major change in outlook in life, his bleak perspective is way more joyful, he worked on a ton of heart issues and is getting married.
TLDR.. boo existentialism, yay joy and love :D that's gonna be my weekend >D

Love it!!!! So proud of you!!! I honestly feel it's a big deal to get chosen as a student rep - means that your teachers must have really remembered you (in a good way of course haha!)
